Samantha Medkiff, DNAP, CRNA, AGCNS, APRN

Dr. Samantha Medkiff, DNAP, CRNA, is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist with a strong commitment to advocacy, legislative engagement, and professional development. She has been actively involved with the Oregon Association of Nurse Anesthetists (ORANA), where she previously served as a Board Member and PAC Chair and currently serves as Treasurer. Through these leadership roles, Dr. Medkiff has developed extensive experience in government relations, strategic policymaking, and financial oversight, underscoring the importance of strong representation and effective advocacy in advancing and protecting the nurse anesthesia profession.

As a former Board Member and PAC Chair, Dr. Medkiff played a key role in political action efforts, legislative engagement, and strategic initiatives designed to strengthen professional advocacy and member involvement. In her current role as Treasurer, she provides fiscal leadership and oversight, ensuring responsible stewardship of organizational resources to support ORANA’s advocacy, education, and professional development goals. She is also a previous Oregon State Advocate for the AANA Foundation, further strengthening her understanding of policy development and legislative strategy at the state and national levels.

Dr. Medkiff has collaborated with fellow leaders to develop initiatives that promote education, advocacy, and professional engagement. Her background in mentorship, diversity initiatives, and political action fundraising has enhanced her ability to communicate effectively with policymakers, mobilize colleagues, and drive meaningful change. Her involvement with the Diversity CRNA Mentorship Program and the Filipino American Nurse Anesthesiology Society (FANAS) reflects her continued commitment to fostering inclusion, leadership development, and professional growth within the nurse anesthesia community.

Dr. Medkiff currently practices as a CRNA with Echo Locum Tenens and previously worked with Anesthesia Associates Northwest, following completion of her nurse anesthesia residency at Baptist Medical Center–Little Rock. She earned a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice from Texas Wesleyan University, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of the Incarnate Word, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Iloilo Doctors College in the Philippines. She is licensed as a CRNA and Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.

Through her leadership, advocacy experience, and financial stewardship, Dr. Medkiff remains dedicated to ensuring strong representation for nurse anesthesiologists and supporting the continued growth and advancement of the profession at both the state and national levels
