Tony Umadhay, PhD, MSN, APRN, CRNA, FAANA
Dr. Tony Umadhay has over thirty years of experience as a clinician, hospital administrator, and educator. Migrating from his native Philippines, he sought opportunities as a registered nurse in the United States to better support his family. He obtained his BSN from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines; his MSN in Anesthesiology at Florida International University; and his PhD at Barry University. He joined Barry as a nurse anesthesiology faculty and was later promoted to program administrator. He also served as associate dean of academic affairs for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences before being named the Dean of the School of Nursing.
Dr. Umadhay is a fellow of the American Association of Anesthesiology (FAANA). As a professor of anesthesiology, he teaches across disciplines, bringing his expertise to a wide range of healthcare students. Dr. Umadhay has published in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks, presented at regional, national, and international meetings, and is dedicated to advancing social justice and health equity through community service, mission work, and philanthropy.
